cutting slate
Hi John, yes I'm pretty darn sure it's slate. Very consistent black, layered
just like other slate I've worked with (but I've never cut it with a power
saw, and admit to being electric-tool challenged!!) The carbide blade is one
with teeth. Major lightshow from the sparks - I gotta assume that's not
good... perhaps I should try the masonry type fibre blade?
I'm visiting a local granite/marble shop tomorrow so will check that out
too. Thanks!
