cutting slate
Hello Karen,
Once you try a diamond blade you will never go back, wet or dry they are
great. For small thin stone like your dealing with I prefer to use a tile
saw with a 10" tile blade cutting wet. You will love your diamond blade, it
also comes in very handy for moving lots of stone quickly.
There are 14 ways that you will commonly find modern people cutting stone.
Diamond blade, diamond wire, diamond chain, diamond router, carborundum
blade (composite), pin and feather, glutting, splitters (chisels included),
torch channelers, water jet cutting, dynamite, sandblasting (Aluminium Oxide
through Boron ceramic tips), expansive chemical grouts, and the Afghan
Taliban way........Field artillery! Let me know if I missed any.
Never try to cut stone again with a toothed carbide steel blade, totally
wrong application, Thats for wood and other soft stuff. I know, I know,
diamond blades are expensive. They last a long time though and you will
absolutely love it, you have my guarantee on that.
Have a good day, daed
