cutting slate - corrugated iron (fwd)

Quoted text begins.Ian, I'm curious about this corrugated iron you describe. Is that natural
stone or manufactured? and does it seem to have a high carbon content like I
describe? If this does prove to be carvable, I wonder about outdoor
durability... iron would rust, right?
End of quote.
Tongue in cheek, it's the next best thing to a sunny sky a nicely positioned
log and some large maple leaves or an old catalogue with in arms reach :-D
Karen, I have been following this conversation with great interest as I too
have a large peice of slate formerly a chalk board from a old one room
schoolhouse that I would like to cut in to smaller peices.
Just another 'Carving in Canada' lurker.
