ciment fondu
I have a couple of ideas, since you asked. Vermiculite is ground up
"mica" mineral which is used by gardners as a soil additive, to hold
more water. I really want to see you carve it. Where in New Zealand?
Check the commercial phone directory. The "cimet fondu" is another trade
name for something one does not carve, I believe. Do you guys have an
equivalent to our First of April, or what? Pardon me if I just carved an
immense block of "facetious fossiliferous"...
