vermiculite
Morning,
Vermiculite....we used to mix it with plaster for a very carvable substance.
The vermiculite held moisture in the plaster and as long as the piece was
covered and spritzed with h2o once in a while, it was a smooth, cool mass.
I wish Ian and Karen could share their rain !! Here in Missouri we are bone
dry with temps in the high 90's week after week. The temp inside my studio
runs low 90's in the early morning to 102 plus by afternoon.....I still
spend about 6 hrs a day in there !!! While carving I daydream of ( or maybe
I'm halucinating ...teehee) a lovely, cooling summer rain......
Marla, I saw Miles on Monday. He's a nice guy and has a great money back
policy...just in case !!Sounds like you are getting yourself all set to
carve stone !! Exciting isn't it !!!
Well...I'm off.....in more ways than one !!!
