Subject: [stone] Scroll Saw Blades to Cut Stone?

Hi! My name is James. I am in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and I have
just started sculpting. I am using my own gypsum formula and casting
blocks (in a mold box) for sculpting. The material is maybe 2 or 3 times
harder than regular gypsum. It is marbled like marble and even has the
finished feel of marble. The blocks are approximately 2" thick and the
length and width vary depending on my requirements I have come across a
problem that I am hoping someone can assist me with. I need to cut
(straight and curved cuts) the stone from time-to-time to get the
appropriate size pieces that I need for my sculptures. I have neen using
a "scroll saw" with 15TPI blades. They cut fine but break often. So I am
hoping someone can suggest a better choice of scroll saw blades that
will perform better for my purposes. Any suggestions?

Also, I have looked into getting a different saw but have not had much
luck in determining which one would perhaps suit my purposes better than
the scroll saw that I am now using. I did see a "Gryphon Omni-2 Wire
Saw" but it only has a vertical throat of .35". Obviously that is not
enough. Are there any other brands of wire saws that have the throat
clearance that I need? Any other suggestions on another type of saw?
Please note I am in an apartment so large machinery is not a viable
option and am looking for a tabletop saw. Anyway, I better stop
rambling.

Thanks & regards,

James
