Masonry...Masonary
Recently I was careless when lifting some stones, and hurt my back. It
served me right, I wasn't in the proper masonary position. Any deviation from the
norm may get you hurt.
But seriously folks.... common usage often adds a syllable to wors while
pronouncing them. I've heard many people over the years say: 'orientated
(oriented) - 'disorientated (disoriented)' 'athaletic (athletic); 'cockaroach
(cockroach).
Less often it works in the opposite direction - I heard a high ranking
federal official say that 'we need a systemic approach to education in this
country (systematic, unless you're going to infect the kids with something that
will make them more compliant)'.
