introduction and question about rose quartz
Tom,
Sowing and shaping with sintered diamond blades and wheels are good for
working quartz. Using pnumatic , light hammers and very sharp carbide tipped
chisels are useful, but the bottom line is that rose quartz is very hard and
brittle. Anything you make from it will be beautiful, but difficult.
Quartz is one of the main minerals responsible for silicosis, so use a
proper dust mask and eye protection. Protect your self and go for it!
Good luck,
George Graham
