Hi Delayne
Hi Delayne,
I am fairly close by to you in Saskatoon, but certainly no master carver.
There is a guy who runs an architectural stone carving school here in
Saskatoon but I haven't been in touch lately to know if he's taking more
students this fall. I carve from my garage here and do medium-smaller works
such as gravestones, house signs, and a bench in progress. I'm certainly
curious to know about this castle being built in Regina - I'm wonder if my
former teacher would know about it... he could even have had something to do
with the project, but who knows. I never heard of Jasen that you mention,
but I know the contact at Gillis if you want to look into that further.
Contact me via my personal email if you would like contact info for these
folks or have other questions for me. Sorry about your predicament - I'm
lucky to have my garage to work from. If you're wanting to find a job and
learn about handling big stone and working with granite and marble while
you're figuring out what else to do, there are a couple places I could
suggest here in town too.
Best Regards,
Karen Bereza

I am Delayne Corbett. A Canadian passionate about sculpture and stone. I
started sculpting about 14 years ago when I was 19, out of boredom.
