In the current issue of a magazine for wood carvers, Carving
Magazine, http://carvingmagazine.com/
there is a good basic intro article on drapery. It discusses and
illustrates different types of folds and the nature of drapery.
GA marble is very hard and brittle, with a very large crystal size,
so it doesn't lend itself to fine undercutting or small details. You
need to treat it more like granite than marble.
