Thanks Clive: Just to be make sure I understand, are you saying that by
experimenting with speed, and the impact of the strike....I will get
different textures.
If I use texture on draped (cloth) type surfaces....I leave it smooth on
some of the areas where the high lights would naturally be. I only do this
where I want the eye to travel so that it does not become monotonous.
Textured areas are naturally darker than smooth areas....so I would like to
get a type of value scale going.
I think that these values would be equivalent to a painter using color.
