Fusible alloy and mixed media sculpture
Quoted text begins. We talked peviously about lead inlay. It can be beaten in, or laid on and
melted
in with a gas flame, although lead doesn't polish up like Pamela
Soldwedel's
beautiful work. I wonder if she is using aluminium or some alloy of
metals?
End of quote.
Hi everyone,
I don't post much, but usually keep an eye on what's going on.
Anyway, regarding Soldwedel's work, doesn't this look like
laminations? Layer of marble-layer of aluminum- layer of marble
etc... I think if viewed from the side you would see parallel lines.
What do ya'll think?
