How to Carve Thin Deep Grooves?
Hello Bill,
I recently worked on a piece where I needed to make small groves. I used
small diamond wheels (sometimes called cut off blades). The first one is a
3/4" mini-wheel, fits into your foredom or dremmel and cuts a very thin
line. These blades are fragile and you need to be careful not to bind them
or they can break. The second is a 1" electroplated diamond wheel that fits
into a 1/4" collet die grinder. This blade is thicker and leaves a cut
around your desired .12. I used these on Portuguese Pink which is rather
hard and found them to be very versatile and fast.
Regards,
