Writing an artist's statement
Hi Tim,
Artist's statements, hmmm. I've been writing them for years and they still
drive me mental the advice you've received so far is OK but there are so
many pitfalls that my advice is to send us all your draft and we'll all say
our bit.
A good process is to read other artists words as you will doubtless see a
style that you roughly feel suits you.
The biggest failing is to give far to much away so that it actually spoils
the experience for someone viewing the work.
