Writing an artist's statement

You are among the rare - only a few would have enough interest to
actually participate in this sort of list as an art appreciator. In
allot of cases you are correct. People who really enjoy art will have
to have the work speak first and then want to know something about the
artist maybe. In any case, the statement was requested by the gallery
and clearly will be used by them to sell the work. If the chicken comes
first or the egg is not central. At some point more information is
desired and a sale is more likely if it is provided.
