You don't need to buy scintered diamond tools for marble carving.
Electroplated diamond grinders work great on all soft stone, especially
marble. They don't look very sturdy, but as long as you never use them on
granite they withstand hard use for a very long time. Electroplated wheels
cut marble faster and are much less expensive then scintered tools.
Scintered tools are really made for granite work, and while they will cut
almost anything, I save them for granite work.
