Subject:
scintered diamond bits for detail work
Dear John,
George asked me almost the same question off list, now this is going to
sound silly but when I first bought a couple try out I bought them because
they looked as if they'd do the job and had a criss-cross cut to them I'm
assuming that a double cut.
They cut cleaner than diamond, meaning that there isn't half as much
scouring of the surface.
George asked which was my preferred brand so I sent him this note and these
2 links:-
"Dear George,
I should have explained further Pferd are my favourites, first web link is
their home page you can click on USA but I of course use Australia. Second
link shows the Burrs that I'm talking about, most engineering supply stores
here carry a display cabinet of their shapes, 1/4 & 1/8'' shanks.
They are expensive but they last for ages (I'm still using some that are
easily 10 years old) on marble and seem to give a cleaner cut than diamond.

Hope this helps."
