scintered diamond bits for detail work
Oh what a relief, the things I'm talking about (burrs) cost around $50 Us
from the Compleat Sculptor $US 50 = $AU 66
I think we've been talking about different things: cheap mounted stones and
top quality burrs.
I've probably mentioned it before but the real cheap, very widely available
pink and grey stones work very well at VERY SLOW SPEEDS, same for aluminium
oxide velcro backed sanding discs, even better are the 50mm sanding discs
that screw into their own 1/4 shank backing pads, the tool I use to power
these things used to be an electric drill set on slow, but now I use a
slowish air drill.
The range for wood and metal is so much better than for stone, slow speed
makes all these products work on stone!
Regards to all Clive
