Subject: getting inside a 15' flue

Chaz,

Here's one way: Tree trimmers typically have a small (maybe 5") round saw blade
on an elbow gear at the end of a plastic pole that is turned by a compact
hydraulic unit. Only hydaulic lines run to the end of the pole - the pump unit
stays on the truck or in the basket with the operator. The same arrangment with
a dry diamond blade will allow you to slice and dice a flue. It won't be
pretty, but this is demo work right?

Another advantage in some cases is the fact there doesn't need to be any metal
between the operator and the saw unit - no wires, the pole, the hydraulic lines
and hydraulic fluid or air can be entirely of non-conducting material so there
is no risk of electrocution if one should accidentally slice into a power line
or conduit that can't be seen from the position of the operator.
