flue liners
Back in my masonry (read younger) days, I rebuilt several flues , smoke
chambers etc by working down from the top of the chimney. Of course, those
chimneys and flues were considerably larger than that discussed here.
Looking back on it, I must have been nuts, cause once your down inside-If
something decides to fall, there is no place to go. I would vote for
sleeving the old flue with new sheetmetal flue also. a lot easier in the
long run if it is a straight run from top to bottom.

Quoted text begins. Besides, how do you get inside
a 15' length of flue liner from top to bottom to make the initial relief
cut?
End of quote.
