slip form masonry
Anyone else built a slip form (slipform) wall? I did a small retaining
wall using the technique. When I first took down the forms all I
thought was "what a mess, this looks horrible". A few hours of
chipping concrete away from the stone and it started to look OK. I
know what I would do different next time to try to get a better look,
keep the concrete further back from the front of the wall for one.
Anyone seen how these walls hold up over time? I would think that
efflorescence would be a problem.
