Subject: Will Indiana Limestone take a polish?

I have come across a number of medium-sized indiana limestone blocks and
am trying to determine what I want to do with them. Most limestone
pieces I have seen have not been polished, but I don't know if that was
simply by design of the artists. Will Indiana limestone take a polish
well? Limestone typically fares well outdoors, but would that be true
for polished pieces as well? =20

I have been spectacularly impressed with some of Philippe Faraut's
polished limestone works such as can be seen here
http://www.philippefaraut.com/sculptures/s-stella.html but again, I just
don't know if Indiana limestone will take such a finish. Philippe, if
you're listening, keep up the good work!

I'm always looking for examples of finished pieces and structures from
identified stone as visitors to our web site like to see finished
pieces/structures of the stone that they are interested in or searching
for. Sometimes people are looking for a piece that they can purchase
made out of a stone that has special meaning for them, and your works
would be a wonderful way of achieving this.
