blue alabaster
Hi Gary, Don't recall exactly, but both anhydrite, and gypsum are part of
what is known as the evaporite series. salt also falls in there somewhere.
It is a particular sequence of deposition as chemical concentrations
increase with water evaporation. ( ancient seas drying up) Chlorite on the
other hand is associated with metamorphic and basic igneous rocks, and is
more akin to serpentine in it's formation and chemical composition.
