Gary, That's about it. I suppose you could consider gypsum to be a
hydrated anhydrite. Acorrding to my ancient reference, anhydrite will
revert to gypsum if it takes on water., and plaster of paris also becomes
gypsum (chemically) when mixed with water. There is some hardness
differences -gypsum hardness 2, anhydrite hardness 3 - 3.5.
