Quartz
Hi Will,
The stonelist certainly is a great resource and insiration. I started out
looking for one answer and am trying all kinds of stone stuff.
I use a drill press on the side too. Was making up the fixed arbor rig and
was copying the setup of a drill press for the variable speeds. Then I got
lazy and laid the drill press down. Used this same setup for about six
years or so and it works great.
You have a keyed chuck that can handle different sized bits and variable
speed in a reasonably priced machine.
I'm in Ontario, Canada about 45 minutes North of Toronto.
Have you used hardwood and grit to polish your carvings?
John
