Alabaster staining
Hello Daniel.
Welcome to the list. I'm sure you will find in a great resource. I do not
know the answer to your question but I am wondering why you want to stain
alabaster? Could you explain what you are creating? What are you hoping
the staining will accomplish? Darker, color change, hide veining, some
other effect? I do know of artists who stain soapstone using shoe polish,
but soapstone doesn't usually have the luster of alabaster so I've always
viewed this as a shortcut to a proper polishing process.
