Carving the Short (Straight 1/4" Long) beard of the Male Homo
Sorry my inquiry was unsuitably specific. As you all know, the fashion
today is a short 1/4" or 7mm long beard, long stubble if you will.
Not the inch long curls of the Italian sculptures I've seen, nor an
allusion to other anatomical features. This is a tough question. A
serious one. I don't have a real answer or I's post it. I have done four
test patch carvings, all of which were uninspiring.
Maybe the baby curls is the only thing that represents a beard. I can't
recall ever meeting anyone with that beard morphology.
Thanks for replys so far. Anyone have a detailed image of the correct
style? Thanks.

Hi John, Stubble eh? That's a tough one I think. My first thought about this
was "Maybe I would go to the blacksmith and experiment with implanting wire
for stubble" My second thought was "Leave the beard area high and point
scarify it." Hope I helped.
