cleaning masonry protection against graffiti

Hi Clive, sorry to hear about your artwork being defaced. I guess the ultimate
revenge would be to spraypaint your own initials over the top of the graffiti
'tag', in the same way that your artwork has been tagged.
There is a product called PSS 20, a polysaccharide compound used to confound
graffit vandals http://www.bauwerk.com.au/products/product.cfm?product_id=6#1
I have no experience in using this product, but I believe that both it and the
graffiti can be easily removed with a steam cleaner, then PSS 20 reapplied.
I'm not sure about the potential for a sugar compound feeding algal growth on
the surface of an artwork.
Kind Regards,
Simon
