As a professional scrounger of stone, I've found that in this rural area of
western NY, there are vast quantities of glacial boulders on the edges of
the old fields. Farmers have been cleaning their fields of rocks and dumping
them at the edges for generations. The rounded granite boulders rolled down
from Canada, so the shipping was free. All I do is ask permission from the
land owner and then start looking for those diamonds in the rough!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all.

George Graham
