How can I mask white spots in pink marble?
Recently I carved a memorial in Rosé Aurora (pink Portugese marble). Because the size of the original block didnt give me enough space to remove all the rough sides, (the result hád to be 40 x 40 x 80 cm) I am left with one side containing some nasty white spots - bruises. These spots are too deep to remove them with e.g. sandpaper. Does anyone know a method that 'hides' these spots, or at least diminishes the contrast with the environment?
