diamond saw
So the other day I was using my new 4 1/2" diamond saw blade on my
grinder at the right speed and I feel a wobble, shut down the grinder,
take off the blade and find that the metal fitting on the inside has
popped out. Tragedy averted I suppose, but I was wondering how common
this is. The blade was from Grand Quartz, their house brand. I thought
that I obviously need to get the blade replaced (it's brand new), but
wondered about other's experiences with blades like these. I don't know
the terminology, but the blade has a diamond coated edge that's about
1/4" deep and was made for marble. I do remember the comments of
someone on the list who ended up with a chunk of blade embedded in the
chest of their heavy winter coat. Awaiting your insights.
