Hi Eric,
There is a product by 3M called, "Marine adhesive/sealant 5200"
I worked on a large wooden motor yacht for a year, and this is
what we used to seal anything on the boat....even under the water
line in a salt water environment. I haven't done much fountain work,
but I imagine this would work perfectly for you.
Seems like I saw some tubes at the Home Depot, in the paint dept.
