pietrasanta-advice needed
dear list, I need some advice from you knowledgeable people out there. I live in England and am having trouble finding good quality marble to carve. I've been told that Pietrasanta would be a good place to get some:
1. Is this the case and how easy is it to come by when you get there? I want pieces between 100 and 200 lbs, it's not essential but I would prefer them if they were in a natural state i.e not sawn into block form.
2. I have a small pick up truck, should I drive there (1000 miles each way), or should I fly and try to organise shipment back( how easy is this? as I've never done anything like that) ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Rod Steward
