I think I've mentioned McMarmilloyd LTD before. They're located in
Marlborough, Wiltshire, U.K. and have a couple yards full of marble
selected in Pietrasanta and Carrara. I've watched Ian Macdonald as he
selects blocks- he knows his stuff and loves marble, so he gets
really beautiful stone, including a lot of random pieces of
statuario. Theres a page on their site showing what they stock for sculptors:

You'll pay more than if you drive down to Italy, but you'll save wear
and tear on your truck, and quite a few pounds/euro on gas.
