pietrasanta-advice needed
Dear Walter thanks for the advice, I think you remember that you told me about Mcmarmilloyd before. I did actually go down and buy a fair sized bit but it turned out to be poor quality and therefor rather expensive, and although they were very friendly, the yard wasn't really set up for sculptors and without Ian being there (and I've been twice now and still not met him) it seems that his employees aren't as knowledgeable as he is and are unsure of prices and quality. I was told that the statuary marble that he had there was to be sold between £1000 and £2000 a ton which to me seem quite a lot and there wasn't much to pick from. That's why I'm considering pietrasanta because I really want some good quality marble and have no other ideas on how to get any- any other advice or ideas would be greatly welcome many thanks Rod
