post cards redux
Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone. My postcards are up and
running, at least they are on regular paper. I'll have to run some card
stock (110 lb bond) through the printer before I give a final report and
send them out to those who have requested them (better send me your
smail addy if you hope to get one <g >). It turns out that I did have to
use two separate files to get a two sided postcard. Haven't had any
problems with a regular paper run on my new color laser printer. I'm
just using these postcards to send to friends and perhaps galleries so I
want to be able to do very small runs to vary the sculpture being shown
on the front. Also I just wanted to learn how to make custom post
cards. I'm not sure how expensive this will be but the flexibility is
more important than the cost per post card. The cost at my local office
max for two sided color printing worked out to about .25 a card, which I
bet I can beat and I don't have to even leave home, or come back 3 times
when they blow the job twice <g >. Anyway, like I said, flexibility was
more important to me than ultimate price. Thanks for all of your
suggestions -- I'll check out the custom printers suggested by several
of you if I'm going to do a big run. atb, g2
