where do rocks go
George,
Gary mentioned the process we are most familiar with because we see
it. There is at least one
more very large scale and very slow (geologic time scale) process called
subduction where a
techtonic plate slides under another plate at a boundary. One plate
tends to ride up and one
gets shoved down and the boundary is where volcanism is commonplace and
mountain ranges
