In the early 70's I worked in a shop in Pietrasanta which was doing
some Noguchi work. He supplied simple measured drawings, and the
Italian carvers did all the work from that. Our shop was
subcontracting some of the smaller work to a larger shop, which was
executing his larger pieces.
