Westminster Hammer beams
Simon,
Thanks for the links to hammer beams. I've never ceased to amazed at the
skill and craftsmanship of cathedral builders.
The brisbane tuff used in St. John's cathedral really caught my eye. It was
also called porphyry. Have you worked this stone? Is it hard or soft? Is
porphyry a common name?
The varity of color really struck me.
