Pollock and fractals and book about recognizing artists
The thing that I found interesting was... that people were forging works in
Europe, and smuggling them into this country without papers... and people with
more money than brains were buying the piceces, thinking that they were 'on
the inside' of the crime. The fact is that they were the victims of the
crime, not partners. They got cheated because of their own dishonesty.
When people like that also have authentic works in their collections, you
don't let them know the truth about the fakes - if you make them feel stupid or
foolish they may not donate the good work.
