Pollock and fractals
I have seen many works produced in Pietrasanta that the artist never touched nor would have been able to carve had he / she, the time. The argument is the same for the foundrey that cast the work for the artist who might not know how, nor have the facility to do the work him / herself.
All the same I think that some sort of credit should be given to those who do their own work
In sports, the difficulty of the trick, factors into the final score.
Carving one's own work I believe should be added value.
Carving without the safty net of a model should be still more added value.
Others say only the finished product counts. The process of arriving there is not relevent to the significance of the work.
