New stonemasonry training centre for NSW
Hi Ian,
Welcome to the stone list - I wish you well with your quest to teach stone
skills in NSW.
I guess an industry association would be a good place to start asking about
what's needed in a stonemasonry school:
Master Monumental Mason Association
http://nswmonumentalmason.com/
RTO registration is handled by the relevant state industry training body:
Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board
http://www.vetab.nsw.gov.au/
The State training authority oversees funding for industry training:
NSW Department of Education and Training
http://www.det.nsw.edu.au/
The Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council handles the
national training package for stonemasonry in the off-site construction sector:

Assessment and training resources are available in the Resource Generator:
http://www.resourcegenerator.gov.au/Login.asp
Syllabus documents are here:
National Training Information Service
http://www.ntis.gov.au/
Adult and Community Education programs would be a good place to start teaching:
NSW BOARD OF ADULT AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Good luck!
Simon
