studio visitors
I live in a very small, rural town and find myself being the 'program' for
numerous ladies clubs......These events are pre-planned so I am not caught
'in the zone'. I truly find these times highly amusing ! They have no idea
what a stone carving studio is like ( and mine is in the middle of a cow
pasture ! ) ..... I have to chuckle when they arrive, side-stepping a meadow
muffin or two, in those fashionable pointy toed high heels, dripping in
jewelry and constantly wiping their hands ..... I always make a point of
having them handle the hammers and chisels and I carve a bit to give them an
idea of noise and dust levels.........gives me a few good chuckles for days
to come.....
I agree with Gary on those trips to the mailbox......nothing better than a
funny card sent for no reason, a short note saying thinking of
you.....reallymakes my day.
