You have me wondering now.
I look on Alpha Tools spec sheet for their air powered polisher, which
is about 1/3 the size of the Dynabrade, and they say it uses 16 CFM.

My 2nd most powerfull tool is an Ingersoll Rand horizontal grinder rated
at 1.5 HP, and from what I can gather on the IR web page it uses 39 CFM.
I think the page I linked must have their specifications for the tool wrong.
