Angle grinder parts
Thanks everyone who replied to my question about flanges and nuts for
the Metabo W25-230 9" grinder. Like Gary I assumed that things would
be similar within a product line but the 9" is a different animal
from the 5" and does not include any flanges or nuts. According to
Metabousa the schematics on the product insert are only guides for
repairing the tool, and many are not intended for use in the U.S.
(?). The 9" model also requires much more space for blade to clear
the guard, so a kit #655038000 is needed that includes washers (for
the extra clearance) and the spanner for the locknut. Seems sort of
an afterthought almost. I found the kit on the net for $16.85.
Incidentally, Toolfetch.com never replied to my query as to whether I
was missing items.
Also thanks for feedback/advice on the 7" turbo cup wheels. I agree,
I think the 9" grinder with a 7" wheel would be pretty heavy.
