Chipping Marble (or dolomite)
I have made a disc about the size of a pie that I am fashioning into an Ikebana vase. The material is dolomite (just a tad harder than marble) and I would like to knock a little ragged "V" shaped section out of the edge to look like old type damage. The disc is 11+" in diameter and I want the little "V" to be only about 1+" deep (in from the edge).
Any suggestions on how to remove a very controlled amount of material without taking too much or the wrong shaped section or splitting the whole thing in two? I have a small variety of chisels and power tools.
