Repairing Slate
My sister repaired a slate sign with a dark gray/black epoxy. It is quite
visible but give the piece a bit of extra character and has become a bit of
lore about the sign. A visible repair might do the same for your slate
piece

My wife has a piece of slate with a painting on the front that her father
gave her. It recently actually blew off the house during a passing tornado.
It is mostly fine, but the corner broke off quite cleanly.
Is there some sort of adhesive I could use to re-attach the broken corner?
