Lying Stones
Bill,
Yes, its more than *just* a shaped rock. The alternative is a rock
shaped but with no particular intention other than maybe make it
smaller or make it fit. In carving there is usually some aesthetic or
implication involved. OK. But I don't see the 'truth' business. The
carver makes it rough, or they make it smooth. But where it the truth
in leaving it (say) rough? Its just one or the other isn't it?
