We have been recommending this combo for use on Black Slate hearths &
fireplace surrounds for over 30 years. It works very well. If anyone
wants to pay a bit more for convenience, a product we have sold (over
the counter only) for years is Finish Feeder. Bees Wax, Turp, and
Linseed premixed in a little bottle.
