It gives a great natural finish--- the flame from the tip works best at
about12 to 16 inchs from the stone----you can aim it at undercuts and inside
holes in the stone. Definitely not the same finish as pitching.
If you have a cutting torch use the rosebud torch attachment or even a large
welding head and you can achieve similar results. Be carefull---the rock
pops off and will burn you.
Don't get the rock too hot for too many times ---it has a memory and will
crack at the most imopportune time ( like when I finish the piece).
